While facing a major health challenge some years ago, I became inspired by the power of our immune system cells to keep us healthy. To create this piece, I collected various attractive objects to evoke the elements of a white cell. I selected pebbles from a Dorset beach to represent the mitochondria which I gilded with 24k gold leaf.
